Last night the education committee sponsored a evening class hosted by a local Web Design company called Regional IDX. The owner of the company was the speaker and his name was Doug Kruhm. He did a great job and had the class very engaged in his topic. It is great to see more and more of the local agents stepping up their game in regards to the internet age that we are all trying to figure out. It is great to have the learning going on in a group setting as everyone was comfortable with sharing questions about what would work best.
One of the topics that came up was the idea of blogging. Not if you should blog. It is becoming more accepted that one really should blog to stay relevant. The question was should the blog be on your website or off your website and linked to or from it. I think there are pros and cons and the speaker did as well. I will try to explore this question further in future blogs.
The social media series we are putting on at the Jupiter Tequesta Hobe Sound Board of Realtors consists of 6 classes in May and June. Next Wednesday from 5-7 is going to be the next one and it is titled 100MPH marketing on the internet. I can't wait. If you are in the Palm Beach, Martin, or the St. Lucie Counties area contact me so I can give you more information on our classes for May and June 2010.
