Artigras Fine Art Festival 2010 in Abacoa, Jupiter FL is the weekend!

Well it is that time of year again.  Many local Jupiter residents will be gathering in the town center of the community of Abacoa for the Fine Art Festival of Artigras.  This fun filled event in Jupiter, Florida occurs around this time of year. This year it is a special year as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of this great local event.  Each year it has grown in popularity and this year it is expected to attract 150,000 guests over the 3 days that it is open.  This is a family friendly event that so many local Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Tequesta, and North Palm Beach residents look forward to.  It is going to be quite cool for the entire three days so dress accordingly.  South Florida in general and Jupiter in particular has had the coolest season in many years.  I have talked to many life long residents and none can remember a year as cold as this one.  They have said that they may have had a few days at most of cool weather.  However they all say they haven't had the extended streak of below normal temperatures we have had this year.

If you are planning to go you can get tickets online at the Artigras website.  Tickets purchased in advance for daily tickets are $6.00 per person or $10.00 at the door.  Children under 12 are free.  This festival has been listed as one of the top 50 festivals in the country.  This is quite a honor for the local Jupiter event produced by the North Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce.  I hope that the cool weather doesn't keep too many people away.  It will be quite sunny and if you think about it, the cool temperatures may keep people of the beach and put them in the art buying mood instead.
