CanCan Girls, Carousel French Bistro, Downtown CityPlace, West Palm Beach, FL

CanCan Girls, Carousel French Bistro, Downtown CityPlace, West Palm Beach, FL

Last night I had the pleasure of going to a french bistro with my son in CityPlace.  It was called Carousel. The food was great, the service outstanding, and the CanCan girls, well what's not to like.

I did a little research on CanCan's and found that basically they are a group of chorus girls dressed in petticoats and skirts and black stockings, much like the dress from back in the 1890's.  The dance is basically the lifting up and manipulating of the skirt in a provocative way with high kicking and dancing.  I never knew a person could lift their legs as high, and hold it there!

If you have any visitors from out of town, you should visit the Carousel in downtown CityPlace.  It was a very festive atmosphere, and my son forgot all about his admiration for the Radio City Rockettes, and has since replaced it with his new favorite kickline!

Check out the photos.

Sounds like you had a good time Mona.  Too bad you didn't get in costume and dance with the girls!

Thank you for your remarks, Gentlemen, and Gabe...that has given me an idea for the next Marketing Meeting Tuesday mornings, when business starts slowing down, haha! Just kidding of course!

Hey Mona,

I worked in real estate in Fort Lauderdale in 2004 and 2005 and then to Stuart for 2006 when I gave up on the FL RE market. I am familiar with City Place and it is a cool spot. Will check this place when I return to FTL which will be soon I hope.

Hi Tom,

I just saw your response, sorry.  Yes, it's a great place, almost felt like I was at a Disney Resort.
