The long awaited spring training game today between the St Louis Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox looks like a washout due to the heavy rains in Palm Beach county yesterday, last night and this morning. I had hoped to get berm seats this morning as that is the only way to get tickets to this high profile game. This game has been a sellout out since tickets went on sale. One of the local secrets that I have gleamed since moving here in 2005 is that you can always get tickets if you are willing to get up early on game days of the big games the St Louis Cardinals play each spring, (Yankees, Phillies, Boston Red Sox) if you are willing to get in line and wait at Roger Dean Stadium. The tickets are for the berm in right field. As it turns out, these tickets are the ones that my two sons love the most. They love them much more than the more expensive box sets as they are close to the St Louis Cardinal pitchers and that gives them great opportunities for a spring time favorite pastime, getting player signatures! It is sad that those seats will be wet ones today if and only if they get the game in today. As of now that doesn't look too promising.
